چکیده مقاله
Nowadays, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) is increasingly used for the production of thin-walled components. Thin-walled part fabrication through welding is a complex process applied to materials such as steel, titanium, aluminum, and metallic alloys. Many inclined components require support structures to prevent the molten material from falling off during the welding process. By optimizing welding parameters, it is possible to create inclined walls with a vertical nozzle angle. In this study, the optimal conditions for fabricating inclined walls were determined by considering parameters such as welding speed, wire feed rate, and voltage. Additionally, the required overhang distance to create inclined walls without molten material droppings was established. Through experimental testing and applying the best conditions, an inclined wall with a 60-degree angle relative to the vertical axis was successfully produced. With the obtained settings and determined overhang distance, parts with smaller angles can also be fabricated without the need for support structures.
